The pioneering and award-winning Super Scheme is an inititiative to help our customers meet their environmental responsibilities and reduce the volume of unused PE impacting the environment.
Customers that sign up to the scheme receive a specially designed PE bin and waste is collected during product deliveries and recycled back to pellet form by Radius. The processed material is made into non-pressure pipe and other products such as refuse bags used by supermarkets.
Each PE bin has a metal barcode label which is tracked via mobile hand held devices and uploaded to the Bartec waste collector software whenever moved from one location to another. By sharing this information with our customers, they are able to review the amount of waste being produced at each site and implement good practice around other locations.
Radius provides starter packs, best practice information, training and support to help customers to reduce the volume of waste generated, recycle the PE waste that is unavoidable and provide evidence of reductions as require by ISO accreditations.
We have also extended the scheme to include non-Radius PE waste by special arrangement.
